Rwanda Gorilla Trekking Tour - 4 Days Mountain Gorilla Trek in Parc National Des Volcans (PNV), Rwanda
This Rwanda Gorilla Tour takes you for a 4 days mountain gorilla trekking tour in the Parc National des Volcanoes of Rwanda.
Detailed Gorilla Tour Itinerary
Day 1: ARRIVAL AT THE AIRPORT
You will be met on arrival at the airport by our safari guide and then transfer to Kigali. Get briefed about your safari and then after lunch leave for Parc Nationale des Volcanoes. The journey to the north goes through the beautiful terraced hillsides that show much of Rwanda’s landscape, gradually climbing to the base of the awesome Virunga volcanoes; sometimes five peaks can be seen. Overnight and dinner at Volcanoes Virunga Lodge (FB).
Day 2: MOUNTAIN GORILLA TRACKING
Early morning, you will go gorilla tracking in Parc National des Volcans. Tracking the gorillas through the light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virungas is a wonderful experience. Incase you are lucky; you can get to see the gorillas, spend an hour with them, and get back at the lodge in time for a late lunch. Some gorilla families however are more mysterious, and tracking can take a full day, especially when it is wet and muddy. Overnight and dinner at Volcanoes Virunga Lodge (FB).
Day 3: GORILLA TRACKING AND COMMUNITY TOUR
Wake up and have breakfast, then you go gorilla tracking again in Parc National des Volcans, you might have a chance to see what you missed seeing the previous day, this magical experience takes you about an hour and then visit Ross Carr's orphanage, visit the local school and community projects. Overnight and dinner at Volcanoes Virunga Lodge (FB).
Day 4: CITY TOUR AND RETURN HOME
Following breakfast, you will leave for Kigali. Go for a City tour including visits to the market, a pottery project, handicraft shops, the Franco-Rwandan cultural centre and the genocide memorial. Have lunch enroute and then Transfer to the airport.
