This is a 3 Days Gorilla Trek in Rwanda taking you to Volcanoes National Park (Parc Nationale des Volcans). The scenery in the shadow of the volcanoes is one of the most breathtaking in Africa. Combine the ultimate primate experience with a day of trekking volcanoes in the incredible scenery bordering Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. First, trek through local villages and lush rainforests, with a breathtaking reward at the end: finding your self in the company of a family of gorillas.
Detailed Itinerary for the Gorilla Trek
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali
Arrive at the Kigali Airport with the enthusiasm of enjoying Rwanda’s Gorilla families.
Meet and greet your adventure trails guide/driver and if time allows have a city/village tour and a genocide memorial centre and museum visit having and intention of showing Rwanda’s commitment to such atrocities never happening again. Overnight at Gorilla Nest Lodge/ Kinigi guest house (FB)
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Parc National des Volcans
We awaken at 0600am for breakfast & then transfer to the park headquarters where we complete the Gorilla trip formalities. Today we trek gorillas in Parc National des Volcans. It’s the most thrilling and heartrending wildlife experiences you can have that one gets so close to the great primates for a clear surveillance. Gorilla trek can be sometimes short but in some cases an hour or two of rough hiking can be utilized. The incredible scenery, immense biodiversity, and fantastic views also add to the interest of the tourists. This area bordering Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo is a nature lover's paradise! Overnight at Gorilla Nest Lodge/ Kinigi guest house (FB)
Day 3: Departure
If your departure time is in the evening hours, one can opt for a re-do of the Kigali city tour and the genocide museum visit. Then later be transferred to the airport for departure.
