A 4 days’ gorilla tour starts and ends in Kampala. The safari takes you to Lake Mburo National Park which is located between Masaka and Mbarara in Western Uganda, being the only park that contains an entire lake and is situated in the open grassy valleys and rolling hills. LHoest MonkeyThe Park has Aardvark, Hyrax, Porcupine, Hippopotamus, Zebra, Pangolin, Warthog, Hyena, Leopard, Buffalo, Civet, Genet, Topi, Eland, Klipspringer, Oribi, Sitatunga, Impala, eland and crocodile. There is an excellent variety of water and acacia savannah bird species (357 bird species) like crested crane, the rare shoebill stork, marabou stork and bronze-tailed starling, bee eaters and even more exotic birds like Blue Naped Coucal. From Lake Mburo National Park, you will go trekking in Bwindi, being the most biologically diverse areas on earth. Its unique, precious flora sustains roughly half of the world's population of mountain gorillas. Seeing some of the last remaining 700 mountain gorillas in the world is a fantastic experience. Bwindi has four habituated families and the gorillas there live in thicker tropical forest and tracking is more challenging as the hillsides are steeper. 

Detailed Itinerary for the Safari

Day 1: Kampala – Lake Mburo National Park
Set off from Kampala to Lake Mburo National Park after being briefed by our Adventure Trails safari guide/driver. It’s a 3-4 hours drive to the park. Along the way you will find Mpambire Drum shop and the Equator and the Lake Mburo Heritage Village, which are places of interests to tourists. You will view the wildlife that is in the dense thick Vegetation hence a fascinating environment in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Mantana Tented Camp or Rwonyo camp

Day 2: Game viewing in LMNP
After breakfast, you will go for game viewing which is the major tourist activity in this Park, being famous for its richness in biodiversity. It has an estimate of 68 different species of mammals such as Topi, Impala, Zebra, Buffalo, Eland, Roan antelope and leopard, Hyenas and jackals. After the view, return to the camp for late breakfast and then head through the highlands to Kabale, where you will have a lunch stopover while proceeding to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the home for themountain gorillas. You will have dinner and overnight at Gorilla Resort/Buhoma Community Bandas (Full Board)

Day 3: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi
Morning breakfast and head for gorilla trekking which the major tourist activity in the park with packed lunch along side an experienced guide. The trek may be tiresome but enjoyable. Your encounter with the great primates gives a good description of trekking. You will realize the jungle sound as you see various forest Flora and fauna. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Resort or Buhoma Community Bandas (Full Board).

Day 4: Departure
After a morning breakfast, we will drive back to Kampala stopping en-route for lunch arriving in the early evening.
