Uganda Gorillas Chimpanzee Trek - 6 Days Uganda Tour to Kibale and Bwindi National Parks
This Uganda Tour starts and ends in Kampala. The tour takes you to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Southwestern part of Uganda for a mountain gorilla trek and Kibale Forest National Park. Bwindi is a magnificent verdant swathe of forest across the steep ridges of the Albertine Rift Valley, having 331 sq km and the main tourist activity in the forest is gorilla trekking. After the trek, proceed to Kibale Forest National Park located in Kabarole district of Western Uganda for Chimpanzee tracking.
Day 1: Arrival
Arrival and Airport pick up. Meet and greet our Safari Guide, then be transferred to a hotel for overnight in Entebbe. Dinner and overnight at Windsor, Lake Victoria Entebbe
Day 2: Entebbe to Bwindi
An early morning start from Entebbe takes you south-west and across the equator. The drive takes you through savannah grasslands seeing banana plantations and herds of Ankole cattle with their incredible long curving horns. Then you ascend into the beautiful Kigezi highlands with terraced farming and mountain scenery and drive through to Bwindi. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Resort or Buhoma Community Bandas (FB)
Day 3: Gorilla trekking
Enter the sanctuary at dawn and enjoy the beauty and freshness of the forest, home of the mountain gorillas. After a short briefing by the experienced guides, proceed through dense bush to trek for these endangered animals called the great Apes (Gorillas). Other primates also live in the forest including the black-and-white colobus monkey, red tail monkey and chimpanzee. Return to the accommodation for relaxation or have an optional community walk. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Resort or Buhoma Community Bandas (FB)
Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Depart from Bwindi forest to Kibale National Park. Have Lunch enroute. On your arrival, have a Bigodi Swamp walk in bid to view the birds and monkeys that inhabit the swamp. Transfer to Ndali lodge or Primates Lodge on a full board basis to have an overnight.
Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking
After an early morning breakfast, you will be taken to Kanyanchu headquarters for briefing before you head for our chimpanzee tracking. You will pay a visit to the forest to track chimpanzees. The forest also inhabits 12 other primates which you will view when given enough time like gray cheeked mangabeys, baboons and vervet monkeys. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge or Primate Lodge (FB)
Day 6: Departure
Head back to Entebbe to find your departure flight
